Cà de Noci, Notte di Luna 2021

£36.00

Producer: Cà de Noci
Region: Emilia Romagna, Italy
Grapes: 40% Moscato, 40% Malvasia Aromatica, 20% Spergola
Style: Orange
Alc.: 11.5%
Size: 75cl bottle
Notes: A very welcome return of this wine for us. The grapes are destemmed and macerated for 20 days, and then aged on the lees in old acacia barrels. On the nose you can feel the aromatic varieties, very reminiscent of elderflowers and a bit of jasmine. The palate has more of the pithy bite you’d expect from the maceration, with a lovely lick of acidity to balance everything out.

Quattro Castella - Emilia Romagna

Brothers Alberto and Giovanni started making wine on their family estate in 1993. Their father planted vines amongst his walnut trees in the 70s, when they took over the farm they converted to organic practices and focused on autochthonous grape varieties – Spergola, Malbo Gentile, Sgavetta and Montericco. Along with the work in the vineyard they began to experiment with making wine as naturally as possible. Now they work 5 hectares of vines and make nocino, saba and fantastic Balsamic vinegar.
